The flight from Hanoi to Vientiane was so quick only an hour! The next morning we all did a quick trip around the capital which is so calm and clean and was wonderful! We visited Pha That Luang (a huge gold temple), Patuxai (a monument in the centre of the city), That Dam, and a few more stunning temples. We also visited the cope centre, which is a rehabilitation centre that helps people deal with the affects of US bombings, I was shocked to find out that unexplored cluster bombs are still effecting people today it’s horrific and so wonderful that this centre is here to help!
It’s annoying we only have half a day here! But we climbed onto a mini van and headed to Vang Vieng arriving just I time to watch the sunset over the river next to our hotel.
So far Laos has been wonderful, it’s beautiful here and the people are so happy with big smiles and lots to say even if you can’t speak the language, I had such a nice half an hour when I was admiring some fabric in a shop, the lady invited me in introduced me to her daughter and husband and we sat and I think talked about how she weaves the fabric her self, it was great!
