This is a project I have just finished for The Invisible Circus. I designed and made costumes for their Christmas show held at The Passenger Shed in Bristol. The costumes were for a fantastic group of 4 acrobats, a wonderful trapeze artist and brilliant compère, I also helped source costumes for two musicians. J It was such a fun project I researched traditional Sámi people and was inspired by the Slavic patron of winter Djed Mraz, Hopefully this came through in the final designs, I’m pretty happy with them.

For the girls acrobat costumes we made the bloomers attach to their tops to keep everything in place and the trapeze costume was made from a two way stretch lycra to allow for plenty of movement. They all had their performance costumes and meet and greet headdresses and capes to wear at the start of the night.
